Chicago Textile & Apparel Design was launched in 1993, by designer Alison Bedford's desire to start a multi purpose design studio after being in the apparel industry for 12 years.  Her apparel experience covers all phases of the industry, from designing the first rough sketch, to fabric and print selection, to fit samples and construction, through production.  She has designed both men's and ladies fashions, as well as various paper products such as gift wrap and photo albums- ultimately finding her true passion, fine hand embellished baby clothes, specializing in hand smocking and embroidery.   The collection "Pretty in Pink" started out of Alison's need to create something beautiful, timeless, and of high quality, marrying her passion of baby clothes with her industry expertise.  Chicago Textile is a family owned business, and we are able to keep our prices reasonable by manufacturing direct, selling direct, and passing the savings on to you, our customer.  We strive to maintain the highest quality, both in the exceptional hand smocked and embroidered details, as well as in the overall construction, fabrication, and fit of our garments.
